Scientific name:	Clithon sowerbyana
Origin:	Indian Ocean, (West-)Pacific and some subseas
Difficulty:	Easy
Size:	up to 2,0 cm
Water temperature:	20° to 28°
Water hardness:	soft to hard (better harder)
PH value:	6,8 – 8,0
Care:	As the name already suggests, the Variable Hornet Nerite is characterized by different colors and patterns. There are red, green and yellow animals, some with very different markings (e.g. black stripes) Its appearance alone makes this Nerite a great aquarium inhabitant. Although extremely peaceful, the Hornet Nerite is very active. It spends the whole day eating algae. With a maximum size of 2 cm, it is particularly suitable for combating algae in the nano aquarium. Supplementary feeding is usually only necessary if the Hornet Nerite does not have enough algae in the aquarium. Breeding this snail is extremely difficult. The juveniles need brackish water and go through various stages before they can be transferred back to fresh water as a mature snail.

Entzückende Schnecks

Waren bald nach dem Einsetzen unterwegs und sind hübsch anzuschauen. Die Vielfalt bei diesen Schnecken ist schier unendlich und macht sie zu etwas ganz Besonderem und jede Bestellung zu einem bunten Überraschungsei. Außerdem angenehm, dass sie das Aquarium nicht durch diverse Grabungsarbeiten umgestalten :)

habe mir für mein 60l Aquarium einige besorgt und sie sind sehr fleissig am abgrasen..ergänzen sich sehr gut zu den garnelen und sind schön anzusehen.

Quietschvergnügte blaue Edelsteine

Sowohl meine erste Bestellung bei Garnelaxia, als auch meine ersten tierischen Bewohner für meinen 20 Liter Nano Cube. Die beiden Racker sind schnell und absolut sicher verpackt bei mir angekommen und waren sofort unterwegs. Vor allem eine hat in kürzester Zeit das ganze Aquarium unter die Lupe genommen. (Die sind wirklich flink!) Die zweite ist nicht so entdeckungslustig, was vielleicht aber nur daran liegt, dass sie offensichtlich ihre Lieblingswurzel gefunden hat. Vom Aussehen sind sie beide ein Blickfang.
War sicherlich nicht meine letzte Bestellung.

Hab mir die Tierchen Online Bestellt, dar ich aus Salzburg komme.

Versand super schnell und gut Verpackt.
Zusätlich noch in Thermobox mit Heizkissen.

Die Schnecken sind alle munter im AQ unterwegs.

Die Fensterputzer

Zehn dieser fleissigen Welse erleichtern mir das reingien des 200 Liter Beckens erheblich. Vertragen sich prächtig mit Red Fire Garnelen und den rund 90 Salmlern verschiedenster Art. Bei mir sind sie zu 80% der Zeit anden Scheiben unterwegs, ab und dann wird auch der In und Outflow abgeschabt. Habe leider noch nicht beobachten können, ob sie auch wirklich die Schnecken säubern, aber das machen ja die Garnelen bei mir schon. Werde mir für das 90 Liter Becken noch einen Putztrupp besorgen. Unbedngt zufüttern, wenn das Aqaurium zu sauber sein sollte.

Sehr hübscher, eleganter Fisch. Ständig am Putzen und Raspeln, am liebsten an Scheiben, Steinen, Blattflächen und sogar Häusern der Schnecken. Verträglich mit Garnelen und Zwergpanzerwelsen - eine tolle Ergänzung im Aquarium. Ich möchte sie nicht missen !

Ich denke sind so die kleinsten Fensterputzer / Algenfresser die man bekommen kann.

vertragen sich sehr gut mit den Zwergpanzerwelsen.

Bei Welsen braucht man immer ein Stück holz im Wasser - das sie dann mit der Zeit wegrubbeln!

Sind nicht so ein Schwarmfisch - sind aber auch mal gerne zu zweit oder zu dritt am Werkeln. Oder schwimmen mal ein kleines Stück mit den Zwergpanzerwelsen im Schlepptau. Meistes nuckeln sie aber genüsslich an den Oberflächen die Algen weg.

verträgt sich gut mit Aspidoras pauciradiatus und Parotocinclus jumbo
kleinbleibend - größe Schwärme möglich.
Man kann gut einen Metalpanzerwels durch 15 Gefleckter Zwergpanzerwels ersetzen, bei ausreichen ökologischen Nischen und weichem Bodengrund in Höhlensystemen.
