In aquariums with enough algae growth, the snails can usually find enough food themselves without suffering from any deficiency symptoms. Therefore, in many cases it is not necessary to feed these easy-care animals.

Their peaceful behavior allows for easy socialization with most other species.

Since the offspring of the Military Helmet Snail needs brackish water in order to go through several larval stages, reproduction in fresh water is not possible.
