Scientific name:	Clithon sowerbyana
Origin:	Indian Ocean, (West-)Pacific and some subseas
Difficulty:	Easy
Size:	up to 2,0 cm
Water temperature:	20° to 28°
Water hardness:	soft to hard (better harder)
PH value:	6,8 – 8,0
Care:	As the name already suggests, the Variable Hornet Nerite is characterized by different colors and patterns. There are red, green and yellow animals, some with very different markings (e.g. black stripes) Its appearance alone makes this Nerite a great aquarium inhabitant. Although extremely peaceful, the Hornet Nerite is very active. It spends the whole day eating algae. With a maximum size of 2 cm, it is particularly suitable for combating algae in the nano aquarium. Supplementary feeding is usually only necessary if the Hornet Nerite does not have enough algae in the aquarium. Breeding this snail is extremely difficult. The juveniles need brackish water and go through various stages before they can be transferred back to fresh water as a mature snail.

Entzückende Schnecks

Waren bald nach dem Einsetzen unterwegs und sind hübsch anzuschauen. Die Vielfalt bei diesen Schnecken ist schier unendlich und macht sie zu etwas ganz Besonderem und jede Bestellung zu einem bunten Überraschungsei. Außerdem angenehm, dass sie das Aquarium nicht durch diverse Grabungsarbeiten umgestalten :)

habe mir für mein 60l Aquarium einige besorgt und sie sind sehr fleissig am abgrasen..ergänzen sich sehr gut zu den garnelen und sind schön anzusehen.

Ich habe drei wunderschöne und bereits sehr große Schnecken erhalten. Sie haben etwas länger gebraucht bis sie sich rausgetraut haben und nach wie vor sind sie sehr, sehr schüchtern, aber spätestens wenn das Licht ausgeht sind sie unterwegs.

Ich habe vor einem Monat 5 dieser wunderschön gezeichneten Schnecken bekommen. Sie befinden sich in einem Bachbecken mit etwas stärkerer Strömung, in der sie mit Staubfutter versorgt werden (sie fressen aber auch alles mögliche vom Boden und Algen von den Scheiben). Sie fühlen sich sehr wohl und ich habe auch schon Nachwuchs gesichtet ;))

Sehr schöne Tiere und auch zum Glück leicht zu Züchten.

Es sind nicht allzu Mundere Tiere aber wenn, dann geht's" Flott" dahin!
Ob sie Pinselagen Fresen,keine Ahnung.Ich habe keine.
Sie Graben sich gerne ein,es sollte also ein eher Feiner Kies oder Sand von 1-3 mm vorhanden sein.Staubfutter ist von vorteil für den Nachwuchs da dieser schnell Verhungern kann.Pflanzen werden nicht Angeknappert,wie es gerne die Posthorn u.Apfelschnecke tut.

Schöne Schnecken

Nach etwas Schwierigkeiten seitens der Post kamen diese schönen Tiere dann doch noch gesund bei mir an.
Zu erst einmal haben sie sich recht fix im Boden vergraben, nach ein paar Tagen waren sie aber munter und agil im Becken unterwegs und sind dies bis heute.
Nach kurzer Zeit hatte ich auch jede Woche ein neues Gelege im Becken, es kamen aber nie Jungtiere durch bis heute. Mit der Zeit hat dann auch das Eierlegen nachgelassen, aber das macht ja nichts.
Einen Stern Abzug muss ich geben, da ich nirgends etwas über den enormen Hunger dieser Tiere gelesen habe.
Auch nicht hier im Shop.
Junge Triebe von Echinodorus tenellus lieben sie scheinbar und selbst am Froschbiss vergreifen sie sich zu gern.
Kohlsprossen und Gurke bleiben allerdings noch immer die Renner!

Sowohl meine erste Bestellung bei Garnelaxia, als auch meine ersten tierischen Bewohner für meinen 20 Liter Nano Cube. Die beiden Racker sind schnell und absolut sicher verpackt bei mir angekommen und waren sofort unterwegs. Vor allem eine hat in kürzester Zeit das ganze Aquarium unter die Lupe genommen. (Die sind wirklich flink!) Die zweite ist nicht so entdeckungslustig, was vielleicht aber nur daran liegt, dass sie offensichtlich ihre Lieblingswurzel gefunden hat. Vom Aussehen sind sie beide ein Blickfang.
War sicherlich nicht meine letzte Bestellung.

Habe 10 Stück bestellt und 15 Stück bekommen, da die Schnecken noch sehr klein sind. Sind sofort im Sandboden verschwunden, so wie es sein soll.

ist meistens morgens am "Garnelenstrand" sichtbar und verkriecht sich dann wieder unter den Boden; von der Musterung sehr sehr schön!

super tolle tiere verwende sie schon lange in verschiedenen Aquariums. Werden nicht umsonst Regenwürmer des Aquariums genannnt. Seit sie drinnen sind in meinem 200 Liter Becken haben sich die vorher eher kümmernden Pflanzen zu Prachexemplaren entwickelt. Durch die Bessere Durchlüftung des Bodens
