Rotala sp. "Pearl" is probably a mutant form of Rotala macrandra. It is characterized by its small growth habit and the densely packed, tiny and downward-curving leaves, which means that it can be used well in the foreground to the middle ground and also looks great in nano-aquariums in small groups. Its medium-green shoots are topped with pink tips in good lighting. In addition to a rather high level of lighting, this Rotala prefers slightly softer water and an additional supply of CO2 and nutrients.
