Bucephalandra are among the most beautiful epiphytes known in aquaristics. Characteristic of the Bucephalandra is the growth along a rizome and the leaves, which are often speckled with white dots, which, depending on the species, can be green to bright red in color and can have a wide variety of shapes.It belongs to the Aracaea genus (araceae) and naturally occurs only on the island of Borneo. Bucephalandra are therefore endemics, i.e. plants that can only be found in a small, delimited area.
 

In the aquarium, Bucephalandra can be attached to roots, wood or coconuts. They grow particularly well on porous rock such as lava, but thanks to their adhesive roots they can also cling to smooth rock such as slate or granite. You can tie or glue this epiphyte onto the hardscape or place it in crevices. Bucephalandra are very slow-growing and do very well with little light and small amounts of fertilizer.

Anubias barteri var. "Pangolino" is one of the smallest-leaved Anubias varieties and is still relatively new in aquaristics. Anubias Pangolino is very robust and does not necessarily need a CO2 supplement, although this promotes plant growth. It is a very beautiful epiphyte, which looks great attached to the hardscape.

Anubias nana mini (petite) has small leaves and is robust. It is a very popular plant in nano aquaristics, but looks amazing in larger aquascapes as well. Hygrophila pinnatifida is originally from India. It is very versatile and can attach itself very well to hardscape. It forms a compact habit with tall, upright stems and long leaves, which - depending on the light conditions - are colored wine-red to olive-green. The horizontal side shoots like to cling to stones and roots. If the upright shoots and large leaves are cut regularly, Hygrophila pinnatifida can be cultivated as a small epiphyte. In good light conditions, the compact form lasts longer thanks to the moderate growth rate of the plant. In smaller groups with a calm background, growth habit and color are very eye-catching.
