The Shinnersia rivularis originally comes from Central and North America. The plant grows very quickly and forms shoots up to 10 cm wide. It reaches a height of 30 to 60 cm and looks best in the middle or background of the aquarium. The "white-green" variant is characterized by a bright green with white to yellowish veins and forms a great color contrast to dark green or red plants.
