Vallisneria spiralis 'Tiger' is a good starter plant from Asia that grows in almost all light and water conditions.
It grows 30-50 cm long and has 1-2 cm wide leaves. Because of the horizontal stripes on the leaves, it is called 'Tiger'. Thanks to the relatively short leaves, it is well suited for smaller aquariums and the narrow leaves do not cast any shadows on the smaller plants in the aquarium. It willingly forms offshoots and is therefore easy to propagate.
