Pogostemon stellatus "Octopus" originally comes from Asia, where it grows in swampy areas. It is a fine-leaved and rather larg stem plant. Its leaves are narrow and come in colors ranging from green to red and purple. Visually, it differs from the classic Pogostemon stellatus in that it has straighter, much longer leaves and a squatter, bushier habit.
This Pogostemon is a more demanding plant as it needs enough light, extra CO2 and a good supply of nutrients.
