Alternanthera reineckii rosaefolia (also known as Alternanthera reineckii "Pink") is a very beautiful variety of Alternanthera reineckii, which has red leaves with purple undersides. Due to its color, it is ideal for setting a nice accent in the aquarium. This variant grows to a height of about 40 cm and is a litttle bit easier to care for than its peers. It can be kept with a little less light and no CO2 supply, although in this case it won't get quite as gorgeous as with high light and CO2 fertilization. With regular trimming, it can be kept very compact and formed into bushes.
