Rotala rotundifolia "Yao-Yai" is also called Rotala sp. Called "Colorata". This plant is native to Southeast Asia and forms narrow leaves. Even under moderate lighting, it appears in light red to orange tones. However, it reaches its full potential under strong lighting with the appropriate supply of nutrients, under which it has intensively red to pink colored leaves and stems and is a magnificent eye-catcher in the aquarium. The branched stems of the Rotala Yao-Yai, which grow slightly overhanging and horizontal, result in a compact growth in the aquarium. It differs from the Rotala H'Ra in that it has slightly wider leaves, a more intense coloration under the same keeping conditions and a slightly more upright habit. Rotala Yao-Yai combines perfectly with Rotala sp. "Green".
