Didiplis diandra originally comes from the eastern United States. In nature, it is one of the endangered plant species, but can reproduce very well in aquariums. This beautiful and graceful looking plant is not too difficult to care for, but still needs a gentle flow and enough light (about 0.5 - 1 watt/litre) to keep the lower parts of the stems from bare. The colors of Didiplis diandra range from green in less available light to orange, red and pink in more available light. Due to its coloring and the slender, elongated leaves, it stands out perfectly from green, round-leaved plants, creating great contrasts.
