Bacopa caroliniana originally comes from North America and is relatively easy to care for. Its habit is very upright and under strong lighting the plant can appear in light reddish (copper) tones. The stems of Bacopa caroliniana are strong and covered with dense foliage. Because it hardly branches when growing, it is ideal for Dutch-style aquariums and looks particularly beautiful in groups in the middle to background of an aquarium. The Bacopa gets along well without additional CO2 addition, but this promotes lush growth immensely.
