Keeping and care:

In addition to the very pretty appearance, this type of snail is also an excellent algae eater and is therefore particularly recommended for aquariums with excess algae growth.

In aquariums with existing algae growth, the snails can usually find enough food themselves without suffering from any deficiency symptoms. Therefore, in many cases it is not necessary to feed these easy-care animals.

Their peaceful behavior allows for easy socialization with most other species.

Although the Nerites occasionally lay their spawning cords in aquariums, there is still no offspring to be expected.
It is assumed that the young snails in the larval stage need brackish water of a certain concentration, the composition of which has not yet been determined.

Therefore, a mass population of this frugal snail species is never to be expected.
