Echinodorus grisebachii "amazonicus" originates from South America and has been known in aquaristics for a long time. It is a rather low-maintenance plant, but still needs medium-strong light and a good supply of nutrients. Echinodorus amazonicus looks particularly great as a solitary plant in the background of the aquarium.
