Chemically pure magnesium sulphate (Epsom salt) for fertilizing aquatic plants and optimizing the calcium:magnesium ratio in the aquarium

  • chemically pure
  • fully water soluble

A good calcium:magnesium ratio for most aquatic plants is between 3:1 and 4:1.
In most cases, our tap water contains too much calcium. Therefore, it often makes sense to fertilize magnesium. The additional magnesium increases the well-being and vitality of plants, but also of tropical fish and invertebrates.

Dosage:
1 gram in 50 liters of water increases the magnesium by approx. 2.00 mg/l
1 teaspoon = approx. 4g
An optimal value is above 10mg/L tap water.
The overall hardness of the water is increased by 0.46 dGh.

The addition can be made directly in the aquarium in an area with a good flow of water. The magnesium sulphate crystals quickly dissolve in the aquarium water. On average, about 4g (1 teaspoon) are added to 50L of fresh tap water.

Range: 100g is sufficient on average to treat 1250 liters of tap water.

Content: 500g magnesium sulphate in a ziplock bag
