The Camouflage Tiger shrimp is a rarely available wild form (Caridina meridionalis) and is characterized by its very variable coloring and pattern. The individual animals are very differently colored and in addition to slightly tabby, almost transparent animals, there are also those that show intense and dark colors. The colors can range from light to dark brown to black and dark blue. The pattern varies between spots, dots and stripes.

The Camouflage Tiger shrimp can be bred without any problems in slightly acidic, medium-hard water around pH 6.5.
