The Babaulti Malaya is an easy to keep, robust and beautiful shrimp species from Malaysia. Because of this, it is a beginner-friendly shrimp. The Babaulti shrimp is a little bit leaner and more active than most other dwarf shrimp. Its colouration varies from transparent green to blue and brick red. A very interesting trade of this species is that the colours can change very fast depending on the shrimp's mood.

In regards to feeding, the Babaulti Malaya shrimp is not picky. It will eat different sorts of shrimp food, leaves, algae and biofilm, dead plant parts, etc. The water should have a low to medium hardness and ideally around 25°C.
