Helanthium tenellum, also known as Echinodorus tenellus, is a herb that is one of the most popular foreground plants. The "Red" variant turns reddish-purple with sufficient lighting and thus forms a very nice contrast to bright green plants. You can set beautiful accents with it by planting individual shoots or cultivate it as a dense carpet of grass by regularly pruning it vigorously.
