Myriophyllum mattogrossense is a very popular plant in the aquarium scene. This Myriophyllum bears the place of discovery in Mato Grosso in Brazil in its name, but its natural distribution area also extends to other parts of Brazil as well as Ecuador and Peru. It forms a well-branched bush with light green, fine-feathered leaves. The Mato Grosso thousand leaf is fast-growing and easy to cultivate. In order to achieve the most dense and compact growth possible, it should be cut back regularly. Particular attention should also be paid to a good supply of nutrients and not too little lighting.
