Limnophilla hippuroides is a densely leafed stem plant originating in Southeast Asia. Its narrow, brilliantly colored leaves, which range in color from light and dark red to purple under ideal conditions, make them a real eye-catcher in your aquarium. In order to thrive and reach its full color potencial, this relatively uncomplicated Limnophila needs sufficient light, a good supply of nutrients and sufficient CO2. It willingly forms new, strong shoots at the base. To make room for these new shoots, the plant should be regularly thinned out by removing the oldest and longest shoots.
