Eleocharis parvula is originally from Australia and New Zealand, where it occurs in wet locations with different water levels. It is grass-like with very thin leaf stems and grows to a maximum height of 5 cm. If the conditions are right, this plant forms a nice, dense carpet of grass, which can also be cut back without any problems, which is why it is particularly popular in aquascaping. For a compact and healthy growth, Eleocharis parvula needs a sufficiently strong lighting and nutrient supply. In addition, slightly cooler water is preferred and persistent water temperatures above 26°C are not tolerated well.
