Cryptocoryne spiralis "Red" is a beautiful cryptocoryne species from India, which is still rarely available in Europe. It is characterized by thin, long leaves that are brown-red in color and have a light green midrib. Like other cryptocorynes, it prefers a nutrient-rich substrate or fertilization via the roots and is a fairly robust plant. In contrast to many other cryptocorynes, it is not necessarily suitable for low-light aquariums, but shows its beautiful color from at least medium-strong lighting.
