Rotala indica is erroneously also called Ammania sp. "Bonsai". However, it was identified as Rotala indica in 2009. Its leaves are rounded and also have rounded tips. When the light is strong, the stems and shoot tips turn reddish. The plant should not lack a good supply of CO2 and nutrients. The Rotala indica feels most comfortable in open and unshaded places.
