Hottonia inflata, which is commercially available, is probably a falsely labeled Hottonia palustris, which has long been known in aquaristics. Hottonia palustris originally comes from Europe and stands out with its intense green tones. It feels comfortable in aquariums with a temperature of 4 to 28°C and is therefore also suitable for cold water tanks. It should be noted that the plant always gets plenty of light and is not in the shade, so that the lower parts of the plant are also well lit. A permanent supply of nitrate and phosphate as well as additional CO2 make the water spring shine all the better.
