Bacopa myriophylloides originally comes from South America (Brazil) and is not as easy to care for as its relatives. Its habit is upright and the light green, fine-feathered leaves do not have a typical Bacopa appearance, but rather resemble those of Myriophyllum (hence the name). Bacopa myriophylloides is particularly attractive when placed in groups in the middle ground of the aquarium. This Bacopa species needs quite a lot of light and a good supply of nutrients and CO2 for optimal growth.
